III is an Taiwanese NGO with about 2.000 employees that was incorporated to join the efforts of the public and private sector and to support the development of the IT industry in Taiwan. Its goal is to develop Taiwan into one of the leading global IT players. III is one of the projects that fall into the responsibility of Minister Chang who holds a several hundred millions dollar budget related to the development of the IT industry in Taiwan. The conference is organized by the Taiwanese chapter of IT Service Management Forum (itSMAF) that is an independent, internationally, non-profit organization of IT Service Management professionals worldwide (54 chapters).

The Opening Keynote Speech was held by Dr. Yen-Nun Huang, the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Board of Science and Technology Taiwan, who has graduated in Computer Sciences at the University of Maryland. In his speech Dr. Huang explained the actual status of the development of Taiwanese Cloud Services both in the government and private sector. It was extremely impressive to see the high quality, the speed of adoption, the variety of development and the strong focus on security in the many projects. All Taiwanese Ministries are involved to produce cloud-services in all areas: the energy sector, health care, food quality, transportation and many more. Today Taiwan produces 90% of all notebooks worldwide, but it seems that this country is also 2-3 years ahead in the cloud-transformation process and is heading to become a global Cloud Services provider.

Tobias Höllwarth held a speech about “Cloud Computing, Standards, SLA and Certification. The Main opportunities, challenges and risks for Companies”
