The Cloud Ecosystem – Enterprise Cloud Computing
As described in Chapter 5.3 – From Segregation to Integration of Data, cloud
services and cloud computing may also be considered as an ecosystem, comprising
a lot of facets and “forming a complex environment, in which web-scale end-user
applications and services are developed, tested, deployed and operated” (Lenk,
Klems, Jens, Tai, & Sandholm, pp. 4-5).

In a business environment the cloud ecosystem of technologies are deployed either
as an Infrastructure-As-A-Service, Platform-As-A-Service, or Software-As-A-
Service in various models including: Private Clouds, Community Clouds, Public
Clouds, and Hybrid Clouds (Shroff, 2010, pp. 241-243).
