initial consultation. By registration, patients are able to enter relevant medical
information into the system, upload medical results, as well as to provide additional
information covering topics, like allergies, or pharmaceutical intolerances.

QuinniWeb is a Software-As-A-Service cloud application. All medical data is stored
on a secured server, located in Austria. An Application Programming Interface (API)
allows an authorized user to extract data from the cloud into the local integrated
system. In the case of Kinderwunschzentrum Goldenes Kreuz, the connection
between these two entities is established through the API QuinniWeb Interface.
Astrid Schweighofer (2013), responsible for the project “QuinniWeb” and project
manager at Unycom says that the basic challenge was the conception of the
software and the question, how QuinniWeb as a SaaS will work for both the patients
and the in vitro fertility centers, employing this service. Another important question
